I read about some flooding..................

ecar - hope you have your floaties at the ready.

It flooded out the front, much like this, some years back, and being the quick thinker that I am, I grabbed a couple of buckets and began bailing water into the empty recycling bin...

When I told the other blokes down at Mensa, or was it's The men's shed...? Nah, doesn't matter, ha ha, anyway, they said it was a great idea...

Until some bright spark piped up and asked how I was going to move the bin, considering that a wheelie bin full of water is going to be a fair challenge to move...

Ah, but I was a step ahead of him....

I said you bail out as much water as you can, then tip the rest out...

He said - into the area where the water's already pooling?

I said Yeah, but once the bin's empty you can go back to bailing water into it again...

Really, I don't think some people understand basic logic... ha ha.
