I really hope it works out for you and that there are lots of positive results from it all.
mapalarkin wow how frustrating. I am not sure how it works where you are but push safety (ie is he a flight risk etc etc)and duty of care with the department.
Ask for them to reconsider or even take you through the process of appeal. If you do appeal though, ensure you also have a letter from your pead or similar backing up one of the assessment criteria. It helps.
Some years back they took funding away from one of my daughters completely, Pead wrote a letter regarding safety and hygiene in line with the disability criteria for schools and presto it reappeared.
Hopefully you won't have too much hassle though. Good luck!

Please let us know how you get on 🙂
well I'm off for a trip to meet another homeschooling family today, but will check back later to see how you went.
If you have the medical evidence that lines up with the criteria then it makes me think that maybe the school haven't handled the application properly. I really hope you get some answers HUGS:-x

I know it sucks, but all you can do is wait and try to hold yourself together until you can get in to see a paed, and unfortunately then there is no guarantee 😞
I don't know what normal is anymore

I know it was an while ago now, but when I was 1st given 1.5 days funding for my boy I promptly walked into my local mp's office took a seat and told them I wasn't leaving until he got off his butt and took an interest in his local community. I was wild, I think I scared him when he realised after 3hours I was still there and I had bought a coffee flask, sandwiches, blanket and pillow 🙂 Any how he ended up coming to the school the following week, got his boof head in the local paper for being some sort of caring soul!!!!, school did a big hoha for him. I swear he spent maybe 3mins looking through a window into the class room at my son. Bo
ttom line was though, I didnt care. My boy got full time funding . I know its wrong and we shouldnt have to do these measures, but hang there and keep fighting.
Hugs paws.

I hope that everything is travelling in the right direction for everyone else, and if not - just keep putting one foot in front of the other, and keep fighting.
