Freddie, I'm trying to find the name of the metal detector man-that's why I was trying to get in touch

was out in the yard and I was inside and grandson was with him ...................

If you know which suburb the guy lives in you could take a photo of the ring to the pawn shop in the same suburb.

Could grandson have perhaps seen him pocket an old coin he found in the yard ? 

If all this happened in 2010, then there's no chance in hell of getting that ring.

Sorrry, it's long gone.   

Statute of limitations is 3 - 6 years in Australia, apparently.

But feel free to question the guy, ten ways from Sunday.
