You could be forgiven for thinking that the old man bird with the overhanging beak/s doesn't eat a lot during the day, based simply on the amount he eats when he's here, ha ha.
I left him on the pergola bridge with what I thought was a generous enough handful of seed and wandered off into the garden to look at a couple of things...
It didn't take him long... ha ha.
He came walking across the garden, stopped beside me, looked up and said "I've run out of food"...
Well why would he stay on the pergola bridge and wait for me to come back? ha ha.
After all, it's easier if he comes to tell me what's going on, and especially if it's about something as important as running out of food... ha ha.
