The old man bird's got his routine going when it comes to feeding...

Tilt the head to one side, scrape as much food in as you can... ha ha.

Every so often I'll top up the food or sweep it into a mound so it's easier for him to get it into his beak.

As he's said, he appreciates the help, but mostly he appreciates that I don't take the opportunity to make "aeroplane" noises... ha ha.

 

The day's geetin on and he's sitting on the bench armrest, happily making an untidy mess of a pile of seed...

I thought I'd put some seed up on the pergola bridge for the possums - do it now, it'll save me a couple of minutes later on...

What a great idea - make use of the fading daylight to get as much out of the way as possible...

He thought it was a great idea, too...

Food... food that's that much closer to the ramp that takes you to the roof, and from the roof it's a short step to the tree where you sleep...

In a word, Convenience... ha ha.

 

Do I need to wonder why he likes it here? ha ha.
