I got the little wheel and handle tool for pushing in the black plastic tubing to hold the flyscreen in place.
It worked a treat...
The windows and the doors got the flywire treatment, and then....
What now...? It's not much chop as a novelty pastry cutter... ha ha.
It's another of those items that have appeared in my life, done an excellent job for the time they were needed, and have then become redundant...
But it's not all bad news... thankfully, some things go on to find a new lease of life... ha ha.

The cockatoos were very noisy this evening when they were going to bed...
It sounded like there were more cockatoos than usual, too... ha ha.
I checked the weather radar, there's a bit of rain out to the West, but it should pass us...
The TV weather map has a huge yellow blob, the length of the state, which apparently is a high wind warning area.
But just for there?
Is it moving? Up, Down, Left, Right?
I'll tell you, that TV weather report can be about as helpful as a tripwire stretched across the course of a blindfolded egg and spoon race, sometimes... ha ha.
Okay, if it's not likely to rain, or get too windy, and some new cockatoos staying the night isn't really grounds to shriek until the windows rattle, then what could it possibly be that got them so excited?
Silly me, I should've seen it...
There's one thing that cockatoos love more than just about anything in the world...
A fairytale romance...
The handsome prince, the beautiful girl, and now there's a little prince or princess on the way... ha ha.
Congratulations to the happy couple...
There's something between fifty and eighty (at a guess) cockatoos who would also like to send their best wishes, ha ha.

I have lived here nineteen years and have often seen signs of Echidna activity in my yard but this is the first time I have ever seen one
https://youtu.be/Ln7KpT0tJPw
I have to apologise for the finger but the camera is in the top right corner of the phone and I was recording in full sun and couldn't see anything on the screen, so it's lucky it got any vision of it

Marwi, that video's fantastic. 🙂
I haven't seen an echidna in years...
I suppose it's because we move in different social circles, nothing against echidnas but I find them to be prickly characters... ha ha.
