I got the disabled parking spot... Yay for me... ha ha.
Only two spaces along from the red Audi sports car...
No, I'm not kidding... This thing had Mid Life Crisis written all over it, ha ha.
This afternoon the girl galah said "You can call me Esther, if you want...".
"Okay", I said... "Esther's a very pretty name..."
"It's short for Polly Esther..." she said, running away, laughing...
I really should've seen that coming, ha ha...

Greetings from the other 'country' down under ....
.... at last, rain, green grass and leaves, no longer looking like the Sahara desert (yet).
Hope everyone is having a really nice lead up to Christmas day?
At last, in this neck of the woods, 24 hours in the day has turned out to be a reality .. ![]()
Love this thread! Always something wonderful to catch up with and smiles all around.
We've ordered a small rolled and boned apple stuffed turkey for this year .. hopefully it will be there when we go to pick it up on Saturday ..
.. last time, we asked for a small 3-4 kilo size and somehow, it was an 8kg and the last one at the last minute. This meant turkey everything from sandwiches onward for days and days!! Just as well we had lots of visitors over that time period .. ![]()

"Can I come inside?" asked the bird... "I could sit on the tap over the kitchen sink... that's a clean-up-able area... I'd be good...".
"No", I said... "You'd see someone through the window and insist on having a robust conversation with them... thumping against the window and shrieking... then I'd end up being accused of playing favourites because you're inside and they're not, and I'm not having both of you inside, not if you're going to carry on like that... ha ha, so the short answer is No, bird, I don't think it's a good idea.."
Pause...
"Do you want to see my impression of me riding my really fast imaginary motorbike?"...
"Errrrmmmm! Errrrrrrrmmmmm! Errrrrrrmmmmm!
"I'm riding my really fast imaginary motorbike, really fast!", ha ha.

The cheap and cheerful bar radiator has a "tip" switch on it...
Knock it over and it automatically switches itself off.
Brilliant idea, ha ha.
Now what I need is a similar switch on one of those fans like you sit on a desk, or a shelf...
What are the chances of a fan being knocked over, and having to switch itself off?
I'd say about 50% if I put it outside, for the birds... ha ha.

I can just see an oscillating fan outside for the birds......they would be fighting over who would have a ride on the fan.![]()
