The cause of death was not disclosed, but Page Six says that he had a "brief illness" and that he died in Daytona Beach, Fla. He had been retired for three years as a result of his declining health.

I only feel old because of the great singers who have gone. Some of them were my age and younger, others like Ray Sawyer were a bit older.
Brings home how quickly we can all go.
On a brighter note ( and sales have not improved!!) at least we have seen the New Year in.
