I put three slices of bread down on the arm rest on the bench...
They'll be fine... there's no birds there... ha ha.
Turn away... turn back, and there's my good friend the old man bird scuttling down the path, proudly clutching a whole slice of bread in his beak... ha ha...
I'm not going to say that I haven't seen him this happy before, I have... this was just another manifestation of his happiness, ha ha.
He's enjoying these warm days, and to an extent even the hot days, but he does feel the need to nag me about keeping the water dished topped up, ha ha.
He loves the bridges... he can go right across the garden, along the fence and into his favourite tree, with barely a wing beat... That's important if you're an old man bird and you've lost some of your wing feathers...
He can fly, he can fly quite well, but if he doesn't have to... ha ha.
