Not my pic, but I put a large rock in one of my bird baths, for the smaller birds to get out,
and for the bees/insects/lizards to have a sturdy perch for drinking.
It's one on the ground. Insects need a drink too.
Of course, ideally what I need is a birdbath with an "On ramp"...
That way the insects have somewhere to gather at the water's edge, and the more hesitant of the birds can dip their little toes in the water before they go in... Ooh! Cold! ha ha...

That would be called stenciled concrete 
Had a very similar thing happen.
Two of them still bolted together.
They destroyed the front of the vehicle I was driving, (it's another story)
