CCTV footage of Tanya Day hitting head in Castlemaine police cell released by coroner

I've been following the Tanya Day case.

I don't understand why she was taken off the train at Castlemaine.

She was travelling to Melbourne.

The conductor said he didn't have a problem with her.

If she was still sleeping it off when the train entered Mebourne, then I think she may have had a better chance.  Better informed city police may have kept a closer watch.

It's definitely racist generalization by the Caslemaine cops.

They didn't physically check her at all - just looked through the window for a couple of seconds to ascertain she was still breathing.

Another indigenous death in custody that needn't have happened.

Why the creeping militarisation of our police has experts worried

slowly we are going down the same road as the USA where police are no longer part of the comunity but are out to inflict instant justice on us.

(when they arnt giving us tickets for minor traffic infringments)

you know, setting speed cameras at the bottom of steep inclines ect.

and no, ive never been caught speeding (touch wood{head}) or had a ticket for anything

Scumbag.   But he'll still be young enough when he gets out to prey on other women.
