Ecar, last night I thought I had enraged squeaky toys on the loose.
Turns out, next door's fruit trees, which hang really close to my window, were invaded by some of Melbourne's famous fruit bats.

There's nothing better than settling off to sleep with a smug look on my face, having the spent the night screaming like a broken car alarm... ha ha...

I'm amused by the idea of a podcast that claims that it will teach me the things that they didn't teach me at school...
Really?
Like applying for a mortgage, or changing a tap washer, or one of life's truly bizarre learning experiences - what to do when a housemate brings a lamb home, and declares that it is a pet...?
Some very strange things have happened since I left school, some of which I could even call educative experiences beyond the formal curriculum...
Will they be covered, too?
I can hardly wait to hear what pearls of wisdom will fall from the lips of the broadcasters... ha ha.
I await your enlightening utterances...
And will there be a bit on how to use a rivet gun, it's just that I don't think I'm getting the most out of it that I could... ha ha.

And another thing, podcasters...
How does the feather "in" Tom Piper's hat stay in place if he doesn't have a hat band?
It might be a feather in his cap, but it's not exactly "in" his cap, is it?
And why does his hat look like a funnel?
I'm sure that neither of those subjects were covered during the entire time that I was a student at the Learnatorium....
Another example of something else I didn't learn at school... hmmm.
Ha ha

Spare a thought for the currawong who was caught by a carpet snake...
But it seems not all is lost... a postscript to the news story says that the TV reception wasn't affected...ha ha...

Thanks, Stawks, but I think I'll be pretty alright - I've plenty of experts here to show me how it's done... ha ha...
