It's not the best way to end an afternoon...

Cold, windy, drizzling, and just to add to the misery, patchy light rain... ha ha.

The younger birds decided that it was a bit too much for them, so they headed off home, early, which left me with the birds who are already home, ha ha...

"Have we got time for a small snack?", ha ha....

I asked them if they'd be okay once the last of the leaves on the apple tree are gone...

As I said to them, now that the possums have worked out that they can leap from the bridge into the bay tree, and hopefully find a branch to grab hold of, and not go crashing to the ground, ha ha, it makes the tree a little less attractive for sleeping in...

"I suppose I could set up some kind of perch, over there", I said, vaguely waving my hand in the direction of the bench... "I don't want to leave you two short of options..."...

"We could always come inside...", said the birds... ha ha...

Maybe not... ha ha...

I'd find them in the middle of the night, on the kitchen floor, cupboard open, birdseed everywhere... "We were trying to sweep it up...", ha ha.

I don't know that it would be such a good idea... I mean, as housemates go, I've had worse, but I don't know if I need the stress... ha ha.
