I'll assume you're familiar with the sound of a starter motor on a car turning over, but the car not firing...
Grunt! Huh! Huh! Huh! Huh! Huh! Huh!
I sat and listened... Grunt, etc... etc...
Then it repeated...
I thought it was a bit unusual that someone was having starter motor trouble like that, especially as they were on the roof, just above the kitchen... ha ha...
It's Mother possum... She's letting the world at large know what she's thinking... ha ha...
I'm not sure that I want to imagine what it would be like if she had a social media account...
She'd be in here every evening wanting to use the computer, ha ha...
Going to the supermarket's not the most exciting way to pass time.
But today, it actually paid off...
Father's day is coming... I know this because there's a little shelf at the far end of one of the far flung aisles that has Father's day merchandise on it...
Mugs and glasses and coasters and baseball caps...
Baseball caps? They're always amusing to look at, even if they are embroidered with something like "My Dad is the Greatest Dad in the World"... ha ha...
Tucked away in the pile of caps was one that caught my eye...
"Grumpy Old Man"...
How could I resist? ha ha, so it got chucked into the trolley...
See? Not every day at the supermarket is all about groceries... there are days, however few, where it's possible to find something that makes the whole expedition worthwhile, ha ha...
