Martin, if it was just a cracked screen, why didn't you just have it repaired?
Cost would've been waaay cheaper than a new phone.

Daughter was quoted almost $200, and a week's wait, for a new screen at the brand's shop.
Took it to a bloke running a stall at a major shopping centre - got it replaced for under $100 and an hour's wait.
That was 6 months ago and she couldn't be happier.
The big names like to rip you off.
Always look for a second quote if you can.

Unfortunately with everything that's going on in my life at the moment I needed to be connected as all my appointments required verification of attendance

Looks like there are now two places in Hamilton that repair phones
Might still get it repaired because I've lost all my contacts and pictures.
I'll shop around
I'm not in a hurry now
Have to pay $95 for the hydrodilitation on Saturday
If I can get a screen for one hundred that would be great

There's over 20 places that repair phones in Hamilton....but you needed your phone to google that......hahahahaha
It is what it is......too late for now, but maybe useful in the future.
Don't drop ya phone.
edit: just saw your other post.
Didn't check any of those places in the link, so don't know how many really.

Interesting - my phone plan with the same provider - now in excess of 10 years + - began as $20.
A couple of years ago I was notified it was going up to $30 - just that - not told of new offers etc.
Then a couple of weeks ago I was notified again - up to $35.
Phoned to ask perhaps a new plan - or would I be better off Pre-paid.
I only text & call - never connect to the net.
After what was a bit like trying to understand a Healthcare Plan - it was decided a Maxi Pre-paid - $150 for 6 months - unlimited calls - unlimited texts - 2 Gig of whatever.
2 Bills later still no change to Pre-Paid - so phoned again.
The outcome of that little call was the offer of - a $40 plan - unlimited everything - with a $20 discount every month.
Sooo back to the $20 per month. lol

I only do talk and text.
Pre-paid - no plan - $30 for 6 months and I never use it all.
Only family have my mobile number.
I don't want to be disturbed at any hour someone pleases.

I don't know how those things work but most of the businesses listed were auto mechanics
I think the word repair increases the results and it also had businesses in Warrnambool and Ararat listed
