I'll have to have a look for my "101 useful phrases in Currawong" book...
On the face of it, it's a fairly straightforward question...
"Why do you keep bringing me socks?"... ha ha...
Someone out there in suburbia is casting rude glances at their clothes dryer, perhaps not knowing that it's not the home of The Sock Monster... ha ha...

The wattlebird hopped from branch to branch to perch, getting ever closer while saying "What's in the bowl?! It's food! I have to have some!!"...
I tried explaining that it's Spam, for the currawongs, to see if they'll like it, but that fell on deaf ears, ha ha...
So I stood there, bowl in hand, while the bird perched on the bowl and sampled it's contents...
Very briefly... ha ha...
"That's not food!" said the bird, sticking it's tongue out to it's full length...
If that's not a "Blah!, Ick! Yuk! expression then I don't know what is, ha ha...
Who knows what the currawongs are going to make of it... ha ha...

In the warm, shallow tropical waters that lapped against the beach I learnt to shuffle my feet as I walked, that way the sting rays had adequate warning, and could get out of the way...
Better, someone said, to walk like an old man than not to get to be an old man because you were poisoned by a sting ray barb that had embedded in your foot... ha ha.
Now I shuffle my feet to avoid stepping on cockatoos, ha ha...
I imagine the women from the village would roar with laughter at the thought of that.
Fond memories of a place from a long distant past...
