I dropped in about midday today (Saturday 5 October) and there's the egg! Brown and speckled just as it should be...

So what was the white thing in the corner?

The thing you can't see now because they've zoomed the camera...

My best guess is that it was probably a feather...

Or a chicken egg... Laid by a stealthy chicken who arrived in the small hours of the morning while everyone slept, nearly silently laid an egg and then departed, just as stealthily...

It's just a guess, mind... ha ha...

I had a quick look about 1 this afternoon, and the chicks were still alone.

One of the chicks raised it's head and I thought "Isn't it good that they get better looking as they get older?", ha ha.

There must be a Universal law that parents have to find their offspring attractive, even if the rest of us don't quite see it... ha ha...

In the eye of the ' beholder ' - there is no such thing as ugly.

I believe - all in their way - are perfect - as intended.

(Well - unless - proved ' otherwise ' - time always tells ). lol

The grape vines are just starting to put out leaves.

At the moment they look more like bright green gramophone horns, ha ha...

The very newest wattlebird thinks they're fantastic because of their shape.

It can hop up and down the grape vine and stick it's beak in the "flowers"...

For someone who's very young, and very inquisitive it's a veritable adventure playground out there... ha ha...

High rise buildings aren't the only places where falcons choose to nest...

Here's a rare photo of a falcon nesting in a tree...

It should have hatched within 48 hours of the last one so I'd say that it's possibly no good
