Just suppositions on either side.

Assumption is the mother of all stuff ups, Icy. Has it not occurred to you that someone might show them that post?

Or maybe they were a tad cranky, 'cause some of them had lost their home, farm equipment, shedding etc etc or could it be that the lady who refused to shake Morrison's hand had just lost everything she owned, had escaped the fires with he 2 yr son, is 28 weeks pregnant and was extremely traumatised by everything that had happened.   Could it be that they were feeling totally isolated and a little helpless and just needed/wanted the PM to care ( not stage a piccy promo ).

So she wanted him to care but refused to shake hands with him?

Icy you REALLY  have NO idea what life is like in the bush when everything around you is on fire    ..... Actually you have no idea re country people at all.

Maybe so. But I care.

Let’s be honest, Morrison didn’t say or do anything useful until he was shown up by Daniel Andrews providing real assistance.

Anyway, carry on. I’m going back to checking that my house and town hasn’t burnt down

About ScoMo's feelings? The man's a failed advertising exec and a politician. He has skin a rhino would covet.

I know people in that community and know which ones I believe

No you idiot. She wanted him to LISTEN

Listening doesn't fit into the 30 second 6 o'clock news bite.

He's a phoney. Probably used hand sanitiser when he got back in the limo and was chauffeured away. Like most Libs, he despises the working class and is only usually seen with them on occasions like this.
"Oh hi Scott, is that a gun in your pocket or are you happy to see me?"
No, actually it's a lump of coal"

Erin Molan adores her dad, General Jim, who is as right wing and out of touch as Barnaby, so her leanings are always going to be to the right.

Whilst it might not be fake news, it's certainly slanted. And not necessarily news.

Besides what do facts have to do with news being called fake? It's fake if the person shown in a bad light says it is. That's the Donald's interpretation, anyway, and if he didn't invent the term he certainly popularised it.

LOL!

Simple. If it's a fact, it's not fake.

if they had've said who  he was and that they knew him, instead of pretending that he was just a local calling in... it wouldn't look so bad

I guess they were trying to drum up some support for Morrison....  it worked for some

He was a local calling in, however you might like to spin it.
