As we all know it is hard to portray sarcasm in a post and I obviously got it wrong for the majority of audience that read these posts. After completeing it I came across a similar comment in the news so should have just waited then just cut and pasted a link.the NOT list

The way you say your comment would have one believe he booked a holiday last minute to get away from the smoke enveloping the lower east coast of Australia. If this was the case he could have quitely gone north but I think you will find these things are organised well in advance and take some planning. In hindsight from a political point he should have cancelled and this would have been discussed with advisers which I am sure have realised the mistake they have made.

I don't vote or follow any of the major parties so am not defending them in anyway and if there was a party for protecting native fauna and wildlife I would vote that and I don't mean the greens.

IMO It was not so much that he selfishly took a hol in the midst of a bushfire crisis   ...... It was the sneaky way it was done, his NOT coming back asap, his half hearted apology in which he  blamed his kids by saying " dad had promised them a holiday", his NOT listening those who were trying to warn/advise  him just how bad these fire could be come ( which they have ), his continual " I know better" attitude etc etc. The list goes on and on    ....... The soon Au is rid of him the better for everyone

Scotty from marketing is as hopeless as t i ts on bull

Scott's just trying to capitalise on other peoples misfortune. That really shouldn't come as a surprise. He did the same thing with asylum seekers years ago. Ditto spud head.
