An SD card reader may help retrieve the info.
They don't cost much

Also I don't know anything about this stuff.
My sister sets up my phones.
This is the first phone I've purchased myself since my Nokia 3315.
She gets all my phones.
I used to get her old ones.
I'm very good at mechanical things.
I can fully rebuild old cars.
Can't do modern cars.
I can fix watches and clocks.
Old wind up ones not battery ones
I can make a living being into food
I can fix houses
All stuff learnt years ago.
My memory is very poor now and I try and learn stuff but just can't retain it.
I've been getting lessons from my friend in Adelaide who's an IT specialist he even taught TAFE courses in it but I can't remember.
I'd like to transfer my dashcam videos to YouTube but I can never remember all the steps.
Thankfully the phone is jusy shoot and upload.
The dashcam needs the videos reformatted and edited first
All PC stuff.
I don't have a PC
Only use my friends in Adelaide and the lack of repetition probably doesn't help

Who's your carrier.
Maybe they can help?
I'm with Optus and they did the changeover (in-store) for me for free.
Just trying to help here.
I know it can be frustrating when you've lost all your info.
I remember you posting about your broken phone and saying there was nowhere to fix it, and I found a couple of repairers in Ballarat for you.
Don't think going to Sony was mentioned then

They didn't have any phones I could afford at the time and gave me the bums rush out the store because I'm prepaid.
They hate prepaid customers at Hamilton Telstra store.
I've had positive outcomes in Adelaide Telstra stores
I had to go to Australia Post to get this Alcatel.
I didn't have time or money to shop around.
Having my phone as my only connection to the World it had to be replaced immediately.
Yes, I remember now you informing me of where to go. I decided to go with the local guy.
It's not his fault, he has five screens that he'll probably never use.
It's Sony using the same model number for two different phones.
Apparently the Sony Xperia I have was actually only an overseas model. My sister purchased it in Harvey Norman in Adelaide. Gary said maybe they bought a heap of run out stock. None of the parts suppliers in Australia has parts for this curved screen version and everything has to come from China which increases the time needed for parts to arrive

I understand about getting a cheap phone.
Just bought one at the PO for grandson's 13th birthay.
Got him Optus prepaid.
He can use the wifi at home, so he can use his tablet for that.
It's his first phone.
There are 2 Telstra stores in Ballarat. One is in Wendouree shopping centre.
If you take your phone and old sim card to one of them, they may help?
Hamilton's mob should be reported for not helping.
Your prepaid is just as good as a plan. They still get your money.

I've waited five months. He has the new screen so that was the major issue. I think that he deserves to be rewarded for his persistence.
Yeah, they're not very good in Hamilton. I gave them a poor Google review ages ago the first time I was treated to their customer service
