New to the Board.
My 13 year old son was diagnosed with Aspergers in preschool and for all the grades 1 - 7 we struggled with school but had very understanding and helpful teachers that made it a whole lot easier. So in 2011 we started high school and after 1 term had to remove him because of constant meltdowns and anxiety. Went to see our 6trh Mental Healt expert who rreally had no idea at all. In the end he was put medication which took a year but finally he is able to cope with the outside world again. So we decided to home school and so all is well except we still have people who don't get it, we asked for very basic maths as master 13 is not capable of anything harder we ended up with normal grade 8 work as he is repeating the grade. Whem do these people start to listen to the parent we live with these children day in and day out and sometimes l feel l am talking to my self. Sorry for the vent but aometimes it keeps me sane.
