i saw those 'chaser' guys doing a reduce waste thing years ago, they created a pile of used disposables for just 1 kid for a year, it was humongous!

Um...yeah it does.

While back in the day, we soaked the nappies, then put them in the wash while disposing of the waste down the toilet.

These days, Mums don't worry about the finer details, they just  put the disposable nappies in the rubbish bin. I don't think they worry about "emptying the contents" into the toilet.

Young Mums are much too busy for dat!

i dont know, i just see billions of the things winding up at the tip.

btw, it was only a few months ago we were told our rubbish would be 'viewed' during emptying in order to check we are 'doing the right thing'

Thing is...the washer drains it into the general waste water.  Not into the rubbish disposal.
