No, it's not because of the virus, it's because they're getting the ceiling repaired after the water damage from the hailstorm we had in January and they don't want anyone in there if the ceiling comes down at the wrong moment.
Interesting that a politician and an actor get the virus in Australia and we immediately go into panic mode. Okay, not "we" - the govt does.

What, gov benefits?
Who gets that much?
But it would be still difficult to make ends meet on that amount
Signatures suck.

Depends on what the benefits are. People earning 6 figures get some level of welfare to help them survive on such a pittance.
Peeps on 6 figures.
Got a link Dave.
Yeah. I know you can have over 100,000 dollars in your bank account without it affecting your pension, but earning 6 figures per year!? i don't think so Tim, i doubt very much any sort of welfare payments would get approved

Ironic if Trump and co. catches it after implying the virus is a "hoax"

Yes Joe that is bs
They told my husband a 2010 he could earn 25,000 a year when he went on the pension
may be a little more now, I am sure not much has changed since then
Pension in NZ living alone $820, so think in aussie you are better off because $19 to see a doctor here on the pension, was $42 when I came back to NZ
I have Jacinda to thank for bringing it down.
I am am lucky I have a wee bit of money put away, just a wee bit

when scomo said 'i will be off to the footy on the weekend' was it because he knew he was about to announce gatherings over 500 people should be cancelled from monday?
not looking good for his footy game now anyway.

Coronavirus stimulus package must head off recession and history has lessons for the Government
https://www.abc.net.au/news/2020-03-13/coronavirus-stimulus-package-lessons-from-gfc/12052270
this ought to be the ultimate test for who is the better manager of aussie finances, labor or libs.
libs have long boasted 'only we can be trusted with your money'
so there should be no chance of the country falling into a recession, right?
remember labor has the runs on the board.
time for the experts to 'put up or shut up'
btw, i have my tongue firmly in cheek.

I think the term "hoax" in context should be better interpreted as " of no consequence "
The Americans are having a good year this year for influenza casualties , with only 10,000 deaths so far , so as what is understood as a low death rate flu like virus of maybe a few thousand more would , as implied , have just been amortised into the general flu stats
Still a good year , a couple of years ago was about 60,000
However the situation has changed ....
