it makes perfect sense to me at this time Icy

But they do! Every child has a mother and a father! No question! They might not all live together, but every child has a set of parents.

So if both parents are working and not affected by the shutdowns, why the free childcare?

I'm sure it makes perfect senst to you, Deb...Woman Wink

No such thing as a deceased parent in your world, Icy?

Or even a jailed one, for that matter.

Yes. but there are benefits already in place for such situations.

My kids have been brought up with both their parents and we never used child-care, but I don't begrudge any families getting a little Govt. asisstance at this difficult time

oh Icy,,, it also helps the child care centres stay open

and jobs.. it's keeping people in jobs
