So true! How can someone recapture lost years?

Sadly some falsely imprisoned people have not lived long after their release have passed away within a few years.

I do wonder  if the will to live, the drive which is associated with the hope of being released, the one that keeps them going dies out after the release?. Once that release happens, or some time after the release when the general euphoria settles down,  the trauma related to those lost years starts to destroy them. Their health goes down hill. Then again, what a toll it would take on someone's well being to be wrongfully imprisoned for so many years.

I'm so glad they were convicted.  It was supposed to be a welfare check, or did they miss that bit?

There was a thread at the time it happened, and I was more than worried, to say the least.

They hailed from my local cop shop.

Thanks for posting the follow up, David

It was a total stuff up - the medical advice given - should have prompted these officers to act accordingly.

Bully Beef.
