Routine test isolation should be exempt for health care workers who show no symptoms - better to have them work a few days infected

Are you serious?

Do you ever read what you post? If so, do you think you have any grasp of reality?

To clarify :

What I am saying is that might be an idea that all should have access to testing via medical accessement but only those diagnosed as displaying clinical symptoms should be obligated to isolate pending official test results.

But for those who are concerned or who may be entering the workforce or returning to school, should have access to testing via medical assessment but no obligation to self-isolate pending test results if judged to display no clinical symptoms

This may encourage more people to submit to testing and so hopefully detect more asymptomatic cases or sub-clinical cases who are positive

Your clarification doesn't clarify anything.

Which might be why governments aren't taking up your suggestions. Do they know you have suggested things?

It depends on the reason why a person wants/needs to be tested. If they have been in contact with an infected person or in a high risk environment, then they are obligated to self isolate, whether they have symptoms or not. Your suggestion makes some sense to me where asymptomatic people are requesting a test for no particular reason other than to be safe rather than sorry. Yes, some of those people may be found to be positive.
