There was a bit of wild weather out this way, yesterday.

Nothing what Wagga copped, though.

They're only an hour or so away, to the West, but it had quietened down somewhat by the time it got here, (Phew), ha ha .

Fifty cent piece sized hailstones... That's something...

It makes me wonder, though, what are we going to do if Australia becomes a "cashless" society? We're going to have to go back to comparing measurements by golf balls, ha ha...

🙂

Why not?

Americans always measure things against football fields.

"It was twice the length of a football field"

Just how long is a football field in America?

Like the rest of the world should know....pppfffft

My experience with watching two 25 year old men assemble something very similar to the second picture over the last 2 days leads me to believe that that is what they thought it would be like, lol! After a total of twelve hours over two days, I now have a lovely corner nook in my backyard, and very sore sides and cheeks from laughing at them.

To my credit, I did buy beer and pizza, and I did try to get them to let me buy it assembled to begin with, but they're men. Need I say more?  🙂

I don't read the threads about Trump, so don't know if this has been posted or not.

It just caught my eye today.

As I pulled into the driveway, after going to the shops yesterday, the old man cockatoo who's become a virtual fixture, was waiting by the side of the driveway, for me...

"I got bored waiting out the back for you, so I thought I'd surprise you by waiting out the front, instead...", ha ha...

In order to move the shopping from the car to the house, I have to leave the front door open...

Of course, that's an invitation to follow me... ha ha...

As I was walking back to the car, he'd waddled inside... "I haven't seen the house from this angle before..."... ha ha....

Thankfully it didn't take a lot of effort on my part to convince him to go back outside - there's nothing like the promise of food when it comes to motivation, ha ha....

He's curious by  nature - "What are you doing? Where are you going? Can I come too?"... ha ha...

Thankfully he also responds well to simple requests - "Get out of the way, come on..." ha ha...

He's a good bird.
