As the afternoon grew to a close, the younger birds began to kick up a fuss, not because it was starting to rain but because a thunderstorm was on the way.
It's some seven thousands distant - "Flash", one one thousand,... two one thousand...
Not too close, but close enough for them to comment, all the same, ha ha...

I've noticed that if my bats come back early, there will be a thunderstorm within an hour. Sometimes it's an unpredicted microburst that only covers about a mile, it fascinates me.
