This is a thread with no particular
Topic so no one can be off topic 🙂
So if anyone out there has something
To say about anything you like now
Is your chance
Keep it clean
And be nice
See how long that lasts
Can we keep politics and religion out
Of the conversation

Hi Lal, welcome aboard, sorry, I'm still catching up on last week.
The afternoon crew "Can't talk, eating..." send their regards, ha ha...

Your yard must get awfully loud sometimes, lol! That's why I love my bats, besides the fact that they eat mosquitoes, they're relatively quiet. Unlike my grandchildren. They make up for the bats.

I remember the bats from many years ago.
Lying awake with the window open on hot Summer nights, listening to their chirping and chattering.
That was a long time ago, back when my hearing was still good enough... ha ha...
I went past the old house a few days ago and barely recognised it.
The new owners have rebuilt, refashioned it to suit their own tastes.
It's all memories, now...
I recall listening to the bats calling each other, and wondered if they hunted in groups, it further inspired my wonder in Nature - were they more than autonomous hunters or was their chatter incidental? Were they organised, or was it a matter of angry exchanges - "That was My mosquito!", ha ha...
The World held many mysteries and wonders in those days, and still does...
There's no two ways about it, the birds are noisy - like children they're impulsive and prone to squabbling, ha ha, but they have some degree of respect for me...
I tell them to "Play nicely" when they get a bit rowdy and they do go quiet, grudgingly, like children, ha ha... "But He started it..."... They're a joy to have around, ha ha...
My nocturnal animals are the possums, as you may have guessed, ha ha...
Not quite the same as your American Opossums, but sufficiently similar.
"Urbanised" but still wild animals, they know about and tolerate humans but prefer to live "La vida possum", ha ha...
With four possum houses in the garden, the resident, "Mother", and what better a name for someone who's primary purpose in life is to produce and raise offspring is spoilt for choice accommodation-wise.
She's as happy as a possum could be, ha ha...
Of course, "breakfast" consisting of banana and sunflower kernels certainly adds a level of attraction, ha ha...
Over the last couple of evenings she's come in search of breakfast, and sat with me as her current offspring eats banana noisily, ha ha, rather than stalk off on "patrol" around the garden. I get the feeling that she might, for all she's an independent spirit, have missed me for those days that I was absent and now she's making up for it, ha ha....

Your possums are adorable! I wish ours weren't so ugly, since they really are beneficial to the environment and unlike raccoons , they don't carry rabies.
Twyngwyn, smelly is a vast understatement, lol! Stinky is more like it.
