Beige people?

Do you have an issue with referring to people by their nationality?

Beige people?   Well that's offensive

I'm not offended, I have met/known quite a few "beige" people, nothing to do with the colour of their skin

This political "wokeness" is becoming a tad boring

That sort of attitude is why BLM has traction. And the post implicitly referred to skin colour.

Roge could have referred to them as Israeli, which is what they are. Instead he chose to refer to them as his perception of their skin colour. Which is 'olive', btw.

I'm sure, given their roots, that a lot of Israelis are whiter than you or I. A lot of them came from northern Europe, places that don't tend to breed beige.

How would you classify Americans? Or Britons? Or French? Black, white and beige? Maybe brindle.

Or Australians?

Your boredom is not really a concern of board members. Maybe get a hobby?

I've met 'beige' people too, but that refers to their personality, not their skin colour, which is what Roges post referred to.

And what the hell is 'wokeness' when it's home?

You're the only person on the forum that keeps using 'woke'

Talk about a catch word

Dont know what "wokeness" is, hmmm perhaps google it or get out in to the real world a bit more often, you "might" learn something new

I did google.

I wanted you to explain this stupid word.

But if you don't know either......

Yup, definately beige lol

Woke (/ˈwk/ WOHK) is a political term originating in the United States referring to a perceived awareness of issues concerning social justice and racial justice.[1] It derives from the African-American Vernacular English expression "stay woke", whose grammatical aspect refers to a continuing awareness of these issues.

Yep,  good word to use here in Australia

And taken out of context. My take of lyhargr's attitude is that anything they don't agree with is 'woke'. Especially when defending racism.
