but (there had to be a but right?)
whilst i was doing this no one else did, they just walked in as usual, no scanning no signing in
i now discover we DONT need to do this at all
its just a REQUEST!
there is no MUST involved
so i'm the idiot doing the right thing whilst no one else is it seems
But wouldn't you rather be contactable quickly and easily if someone tests positive and they have been somwhere near you?
I know I would.
of course
i am ok with the scanning sign in
i'm just angry my fellow citizens dont get it
just look at NSW today
they are in a panic with a new outbreak
when your given a choice most people opt out was what i saw
when i thought it was a 'you have to do it' order
the whole state was locked down in less than 24hrs a couple of weeks ago
you had little choice but to stay home
so the authorities can make us do things we dont want to do, for the good of all
i dont see why the signing in wherever you go shouldnt be the same
but i'm just a little angry it seems i took the message as 'you must' and no one else is

Guess what, NSW is NOT in a panic. We're pretty happy with the way things have been managed. It's a bit naive to think that at this stage there won't be the occasional outbreak.

Agreed.

Settle down. That's a long bow you're drawing to say no one else is taking it seriously. Not sure about SA but here in New South wherever I've gone everyone is signing in . . The notices say 'The Govt requires you to..' so I take it as meaning we must and most others seem to as well. My phone won't work it so I have to do it manually each time . But I like the idea of being traceable and people who don't have their heads in the sand.

Re: beige. I'm not going to quote your 3 screen scroller that could have been condensed into less than 10 lines without losing any context.
I am interested in how you know rogespeed was talking about guinea pigs rather than being racist. Did he PM you? Are you putting words in his mouth? Is he a sock puppet and you are him?

Anyhow regardless of any generic colour ethnic descripter denoting those of specific regional origins - the clever people are still proceeding with their vaccine candidate - which I found curious and I must ask my Doctor friend about that while she is still there studying first hand the coronvirus mitigation practises ( and I will check her skin tone from pics... but am sure not Arab brown nor from memory exactly nordic-white)
I informed her that we of Australia had mostly eradicated the virus pest ( except for one unnamed city) and she might be interested in our proposed enhancements to aged care to ensure low transmission in future as part of standard care - so as to also reduce incidence of other dangerous viruses like influenza and even rhinovirus ( black variation - the white version is extinct now I think)

You sure do have issues. BTW: Without fail the imastawka kudo as well.
* So, you're interested in how I know rogespeed was talking about guinea pigs rather than being racist.
Well, I'm not putting any tickets on myself, far from it but I try not to be a tunnel thinker and I like to consider other options. Or, maybe I just like to take an opposite stance to what The Circle takes because there's more truth in that.
* Did he PM Me?
No!
* Is he a sock puppet?
I have no way of knowing for for sure but I'd be inclined to say no
* And Is he me?
Could he be me in that he's more like me because he's less like you? Hmm OK, Well, I don't agree 100% with everything he posts or stands on with an issue. But he does think of things that I do in that he looks at the larger picture on this issue. And he has brought through some very interesting info that I didn't know about. So I guess he is not me.
Well, no guessing on this.I know rogespeed is not me. He has cats that I don't have.
But he is similar in that he obviously values a type of thinking that certain people in a group seem to dislike.

The Northern Beaches outbreak in NSW is one that I hope has its source speedily identified.
The worst case scenario at the present time would be that there's no genomic link between this outbreak and the airport driver case; that would mean that the SARS-CoV-2 virus has been silently bubbling away in the community even while the case numbers were coming up as 0. Hopefully the NSW Health team can get this under control - and at least we're not in the awful situation of so many countries in Europe.
Germany without Glühwein and Weihnachtsmärkte at Christmas time! Necessary but awful with the case numbers climbing. The separate states have been resisting Merkel's attempts to impose tougher restrictions - and the result is predictable. Now we have Söder (Prime Minister of Bayern - i.e., Bavaria) calling this Coronavirus pandemic the catastrophe of our time, and admitting that the current situation is absolutely dramatic. At last a tougher approach has been agreed upon with lockdowns that will last for as long as they're necessary.
