And of course, everyone knows this one, but probably didn't know it was Boccherini

Some more later....

… Yes, it should have been rein. My fingers typed what my head wasn’t telling them to do.

Master and Commander was a good adaption of the book, and the music chosen was beautiful.

The haunting and exotic “Asie” (1. in Ravel’s Schéhérazade) has great beauty and an air of the mysterious about it.

There are several wonderful performances/recordings, with sopranos like Ameling, Gens, Jessye Norman, and more… and I LOVE all of those versions, but I’d like to link to Suzanne Danco as her cool lyric voice with its impeccable French is perfectly suited to it and she’s not as well known today as she should be. I hope you find it as mesmerising as I do.

My sleep-deprived fingers (in the realm of insomnia) just copied without thinking.

By the way, last night I was sooooo tired. I went to bed and started to feel all the tension again and basically "woke up". After an hour or so I decided that I could not stay awake another night, so I took more meds... and finally slept a bit. Not much, but even a couple of hours are a blessing for me. 🙂

Last night, after finally sleeping a bit, I woke up hearing Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake in my head (even if I had not even recently listened to it).

Here is the main theme I heard in my head:
