I am very surprised they have been ' supported ' for this long.
Just read the - mid Jan - finish date.

Headline is a bit misleading. My laptop still has windows 7. Support for that stopped two years ago ( which does make it vunerable) but it still works. Chrome browser has a message that updates and support will not continue from here on. This will not cause the browser to suddenly stop working.
What will happen is functionality will degrade over time and it will eventually become incompatible with websites.
