Happy Birthday to horsies.
Which reminds me, Wattle Day on September 1st (I think it used to be August 1st in the olden days).
And who remembers from school....Arbour Day and the real biggie...Empire Day?

bin thinkin, should do summin bout picture.
any one got preference between motor byke & toys or me doing dundee & the buff thing with a croc.
Not a good idea on this thread. You may have noticed that this thread is the friendliest and most benign one going and specificaly for SENIORS, and your suggestions will spoil the tone. Also, does your 'toys' could include a firearm or did you need that cleaning kit for a kitchen gadget?.

Yes, all horses have a birthday today.
I remember Arbour Day, at school we use to plant a tree in the morning and have the rest of the day off.
Vaguely remember Empire Day.

Awww, Gilly....let me have my fun. Gotta take out my cold fingers on someone today.
Purple, Empire Day was the biggie, celebrating our membership in the British Empire.
Does anyone remember that at the end of the movies they showed the King/Queen on the screen and played God Save the King/Queen AND EVERONE STOOD and then filed out?

Some of the movies I went to they played God Save The Queen, before the movie started and after getting settled to watch the movie we had to stand up....
Yeah, now I remember Empire Day.......
