Awww, Gilly....let me have my fun.  Gotta  take out my cold fingers on someone today. Purple, Empire Day was the biggie, celebrating our membership in the British Empire. Does anyone remember that at the end of the movies they showed the King/Queen on the screen and played God Save the King/Queen AND EVERONE STOOD and then filed out?

Some of the movies I went to they played God Save The Queen, before the movie started and after getting settled to watch the movie we had to stand up....

Yeah, now I remember Empire Day.......
