We had a sensational day here in Melbourne today.  My MIL is up in country NSW, 46.5 degrees there this week.  She said she had a hot shower without turning the hot tap on.  We used to holiday up along the Murray and when my kids were small (so around 20 years ago) it used to be over 40 every day we were there, hasn't been like that for many years until this year.
