JVH - It saddens me so much when I think of your friend and how devastating to know you have no future and only illness to deal with - I wish I could wave a magic wand - it really makes us look at our own situations and realize how very well off we are; regardless of the daily grind at times.
Dame heartfelt condolonces to you! As people are still telling me (my friend suicided last year) - you cannot see the signs (my friend was always the life and soul of the party etc.) - with your friend he was obviously suffering deeply over an incident in his past (innocent until proven guilty, however a horrendous deed) - either way he paid the ultimate price. You absoloutely cannot think there was any way you could have prevented any of this - and please know that the overwhelming sense of loss and sadness will subside (and also the anger and confusion). I hope the young lady involved is able to sustain a happy life. Lots of hugs to you, Dame!
Hi scatty - glad you had fun at the xmas party (sounds like a really long one!) lol! And your words (as usual) regarding sadness around this time of year were spot on - thank you!
Hi bella - "Happy days" - to you - and so deserved!
Hi pjbear hope you are feeling better (and yes, I used to cut my barbie's hair all the time lol!) I too, managed to leave a message through e bay for libby - hopefully we will hear from her soon.
Keep up the good work travelling purple!
Hi kezza hope all is well your end! How are the moving plans coming along?
Have a great day everyone!

I think we posted at the same time!
Thank you so very kindly (and ditto!).
Part of the reason you feel the way you do is because of your huge heart and deep compassion. Please do enjoy the time with your seniors - I'm hoping it takes your mind off this for at least a little while - God bless!

Good morning all 🙂
Dame - You have a kind heart and I fear your only crime is that you look past the outside appearance of people to see the heart. I agree with JV do not be hard on yourself, you have a wonderful ability to show love and compassion. JV is right these people are so clever at hiding their inward intent and lifestyles.
JV your daughters children sound like a handful LOL!!!!
While this time of the year can be so stressful, I still enjoy it. I don't know if its the idea that a new year is on its way with new experiences and doors opening...not sure But I am sorry some of you find it so difficult.
I need me some of those Happy days too LOL
Yes the kiddies are but children learn by example to be a handful:)

Hugs Miss and the important thing for me at the moment is to just be there for my mate........even if its to talk on the phone.....im sure that Chrissie thinks of what is lying in front of her.....so much to organise and she has already chatted about what service etc she wants........so am taking notes and putting them in a little diary with dates etc......so that when various times come all instructions will be very clear:).....thankfully she is a very organised person....and is working through the to do list. She wants all the distant rellies in Ireland to have bits and pieces so have been sorting going through the list and labelling stuff....we are getting there:)

I really feel for you - having to sort through your dear mum's belongings and now having to sort out your friend's as well. Stay strong (for you and for her) - I think the world would be a much better place if there were more of you in it!

JV I am so pleased that your friend's family is comong out to visit her. So sad that it is under such circumstances. Hugs to all.
Well we had a wonderful day yesterday. Did a couple of short bush walks. Then drove to the top of a mountain to a place called Lake Dobson. Boy it was freezing up there but so beautiful The fresh air does wonders for me. Certainly woke me up for sure. lol
I have been very tired lately. Do not know if it is just this hayfever taking it's toll. Decided to give it a couple of more weeks and if the tiredness has not gone will try to see a doctor. I have my last test results with me. Will see what happens.
PJ I read about your eye in another thread. Was wondering how you cope with things. I would hate to lose the sight of even one eye. I find it difficult enough to see without my glasses. You certainly seem to have had more than a fair share of bad things. Hope things are better for you in the future. Hugs.
Not sure what we are up to today. I do have a parcel to get ready for mailing today. If hubby does not want to go anywhere I might go back into Hobart and do some more sightseeing. See what happens. I know I need to do a good tidy up around here.
Hope everyone has a great day. BBL.

Thanks miss for your kind and encouraging words. PCT hope you are feeling better soon, nothing worse than feeling tired all the time. Anyway hope you are fighting fit soon. I've spent the last two days with shortness of breath no other symptoms so am guessing its possibly due to the anemia.
Although I've been on the iron tabs for a month now.
How are you going PJ? JV sorry you are having a tough time atm. Your friend is soo lucky to have you in her life.
Anyway better get going, will be taking it easy today and might even duck out for a coffee.
