Bugga, now I've forgotten what I was going to post lol
Anyway, afternnon all, hope the day's going well and no one is blown over....pretty windy here, too.
Clair I reread the books my cousin did last night and after 10 years, finally realised she DID research our grandmother. I have rellies buried near you ! We could be related even. Her side started as cornish miners......I will post more info on the ancestory thread.

I do that too Soul
I was just thinking about my mothers family earlier, first the tanners settled in Launceston and had 4 children, then they moved to a country town in Vic called Teesdale (why they went there I don't know) but they had another 4 children there. some of the family are in the local cemetary there, we had a big family reunion there, many years ago, but i can't remember much about it

Well Debra, you never know, we really may be related lol
The rellies moved from SA to Corup, later called Rochester. I have a pic of Elizabeth Whitlaw (the name changed to Whitla after) standing outside her shop, it was called Mrs Whitla Fruiterer, it was in Mackay Street Rochester in the mid eighteen nineties.
Pretty progressive for a woman to own her own business then I would think ?

It got cold 😞 and overcast. 😞 and there's a bushfire somewhere, stinking up the air 😞 I wish it was windy to blow it away, the smoke makes it hard for me to smoke.
Ok whinging over, until next time lol

Good afternoon Stringsters 🙂
Another unbelievable day at work, there are so many dramas I think I should write a book!! Oh SheEle..yoohoo .... 🙂 🙂
This is the first afternoon I haven't come home to a dozen orders. I feel like a break so all is good.
I can't wait to retire so I can do some more family searching. Flashie kindly did a great amount of research for me but it was hard to take it all in.

I have been trying to find time to take some LSL since April but it isn't as easy as just picking a date.
It has been a beautiful day here, so I am told LOL
It certainly is warm now, no jumper - no explorers 🙂 I hope it lasts until the weekend.
