I don't have excel on this computer so can't really tell you or even if it is possible.
(I must write a note to myself to reinstal Office)
You could transfer the data over to a database and then transfer back but changing the rows to columns and columns to rows in the process.
I don't know if you can do it in excel but maybe start a second spreadsheet and transfer each column seperately and copy and paste.
But when you paste you paste across the row instead of down the column.
I can't be any more help because I don't know what you are capable of and what features you have on excel 2000 or even if possible on excel.
All my work was on programmed excel spreadsheets and I have never really just used the spreadsheet as per what is installed on your computer.
