I had a very odd (to say the least) buyer who purchased some items from me a few months ago and never paid.
After 9 days if payment hasn't been received I then usually send 3 reminders within the week. Still then if no reply I open an NPI .
In this particular case I did just as I said above and the second the NPI hit the Buyers account she had sent me a Blah Blah Blah message. I explained she now had 7 days to make her payment or she may cancel the purchase if she prefered.....No reply.......sent it again......no reply.
Now this is a pearler.....
The 7 days were up and I closed the NPI resulting in her receiving 2 strikes on her account. The absolute second the NPI was closed I received a negitive FB....What a B..ach!!!!
I was so cross especially when she had not even bothered to reply to any emails, never even paid and had options to cancel obviously she had no intentions of paying in the first place.
I had to end up ringing eBay (that's not as easy as it sounds these days beleive me) and I told them I completely refused to accept the FB because she should never have been allowed to leave FB in the first place because she had never paid. Long story short yes eBay did remove it because an NPI had been lodged and so all ended well in the end.
So my tip here is ONLY give a buyer 9 days max to make payment and ALWAYS file an NPI on the 10th day. Then if ever they get the miffs because they get a strike for not paying and leave you a neg / neutral thinking they have the last laugh with the "take that" kind of attitude....Remember eBay WILL remove a neg or neutral FB but ONLY if an NPI was filed.
Good to know don't you think?
