From what I understand (but I am not sure!), the OP opened a return request (which she calls an "active case") but didn't really want to return the item and is annoyed that eBay understood it "literally" as a return request. Maybe it is not a major fault, so the OP wanted to keep the item? As I said in my post, if this is the case, I think she should have opened an INAD case. Sometimes you can reach an agreement with the seller without returning the item even with a return request, but it appears that in her case it didn't work out.
