Good lord that is beyond 😳😡😠

And still people keep on buying

They can't use the excuse 'but eBay said' one of their most trusted sellers on this one

The scammer must be in seventh flippin' heaven

I was thinking exactly the same thing. I was (almost) surprised they didn't have the citation as they have sold a lot and that seems to be ebay's main criteria.

I get the feeling ebay doesn't ban sellers unless they are out and out scammers 100% of the time or doing something illegal.

Miss 19.8% does sometimes get a positive. Actually, the last positive she got though should have been a negative in my opinion. Don't know what the buyer was thinking!

I would guess quite a few buyers who gave negs never actually opened ebay claims for items not received. So ebay and the seller aren't losing out, only those buyers.

But I agree, any volume seller whose feedback gets down to this level should be banned, they are doing more harm than good to the ebay image.

Just a quick update.

I've provided Ebay with proof the tracking number was not for dvds but a large roll of plastic,  the supervisor from Ebay saw that for himself but I still need to get confirmation from Fedex via email, not screenshot,  that they didn't deliver to my address

Even though I also provided the supervisor with proof Fedex didn't have my address in their system.

I'm just banging my head against the wall.

I was informed my feedback was removed because I said my item was never delivered and the seller was able to have it removed as the tracking number he provided showed it was delivered.

The fact that it was not a tracking number for my address is irrelevant.

Ebay won't and can't let me leave negative feedback now as once it's gone, it's gone.

So this seller/scammer is still in business.

The only good news is the scammer has not got my money, Ebay has it pending until the dispute is closed.

I also provided proof that the seller's tracking number shows they sent it on the 30th of November.  I didn't buy the item until the 1st of December.

I'm really disappointed that Ebay have all this information and still they inform me the seller is "helping me" as he replies with one word to my messages.

Australia post still don't know the tracking number the scammer provided. It's 2 days late now (second fake delivery) another fact Ebay is aware of.

This has been one huge mess and I'm the one needing to provide more evidence.

This is why people leave Ebay, it's too much hassle.

I feel sorry for all the sellers doing the right thing.

I'm hoping the dispute and my complaint today will have the scammer shut down.

It certainly is a HUGE turn around by eBay

Up until very recently all a buyer had to do was 'say' they did not get something/got a damaged thing/a different thing and eBay believed them no questions asked (unless a seller could provide valid/legit tracking

Didn't matter if the buyer was totally honest or a total scammer

They have gone from one extreme to the other which is, again utterly ridiculous

've provided Ebay with proof the tracking number was not for dvds but a large roll of plastic,  the supervisor from Ebay saw that for himself but I still need to get confirmation from Fedex via email, not screenshot,  that they didn't deliver to my address

What gets me in all this is I have often thought ebay is too automated. It has sometimes led to injustices because there has been no human listening to the evidence and making a logical judgement.

Yet here we are, with you talking to a human & still getting nowhere.

Using real people to mediate costs money, which is why so much is automated these days, but if ebay is going to pay some people to act as reps, they need to train them up, have a list of rules and then trust and allow them to make some independent decisions.

Plus the comment that once feedback is removed, you can't be given another crack at it.

That's a lot of nonsense, if ebay wanted to, it could allow reversals on the rare occasions needed.

It is a shame that the person who commented on here on another thread that 'eBay shut down every single scammer they reported immediately' (and had things to say about people who commented otherwise) has not reported these ones

I reported miss 19.8 last night too and got a bot response this morning (supposedly looked at by a human rep) that said they were fine 🙄

And I'll repeat what I wrote on that thread:

For many years,   EBay US HH  (users)  and eBay AU HH  (users) plus

Great eBay Customer Support / Trust and Safety  teams were, for the most part, hugely successful in having thousands of scam listings removed.

19.8% seller confirmed -as above

The OP's seller,  from the date the opposite  "nice item" feedback was left

I'm sad and ANGRY  this has happened to you.

That a site which used to have  great Customer Service  and Trust and Safety teams, have stooped this low.

With both sellers aready mentioned, it's aiding and abetting scammers who have taken over the REAL seller's acount

I have to agree with you Casey, my experience with the unfair neg removal and seeing sellers like the ones mentioned here, is certainly not enhancing the eBay brand name for me.

Sadly eBay is losing it's safe and fair image, and those that should be worried about it seem to have stuck their heads in the sand..........

Perhaps eBay leaving automated feedback for sellers is more important than Trust and Safety to them.

🍋🌉 <- Does this work? (A little pun…)

Thank you.

Ebay is not the same anymore. At this stage, I'm not going to use Ebay again.

I know there are good, honest sellers, the aftermath of what happens if something goes wrong, in the way Ebay treats you, is so very poor.
