It is disgusting there has been a total U turn by eBay who are now seemingly happy to support scammer sellers despite numerous complaints and proof they are scamming

As I say, from one extreme to the other

(buyer said = instantly seller lying, no evidence required)

to : total proof seller is a scammer = that's fine

You are spot on that it is not the same

And it will only get worse unless eBay pull out their finger

Since bots do not have fingers, that is unlikely

You are right. On the last few months the number of unreliable sellers who game the system increased dramatically.

When you open a dispute eBay takes down your feedback. If you haven't put a feedback you'd realize that the Leave Feedback option is disabled for the item.

Those fraudulent sellers will drag  you forever. They'll  wait until the last day for response and respond like they are handling the problem and need more time. eBay will postpone your refund for another 10 days.

It is what it is. Even Ali are more reliable and responsive now days.

It certainly is a HUGE turn around by eBay

Up until very recently all a buyer had to do was 'say' they did not get something/got a damaged thing/a different thing and eBay believed them no questions asked (unless a seller could provide valid/legit tracking

See. I told you yesterday that MBG is a sham. They want him to prove he didn't get the item. How can he prove that? Now he has no item but still need to chase Fedex. He is not a Fedex customer and they have no incentive to chase the tracking number.

The point is it never used to be like this, never

This change has been very very recent

And as I said, before this happened, any buyer could say anything and their word for something would always be taken over the seller's word, even with a mountain of proof that the buyer was the scammer

So please don't say 'see I told you'

But I did and you refused to admit.

Now, if you can't get eBay to agree you haven't got the item obviously it relief them for refunding you under MBG.🤔

I back you all the way,  but can  you please keep this thread on topic and not let it become personal ?

There's some really important information in this thread and I,  for one, wouldn't like to see it removed.

Just to make it clear, "I back you all the way" with your problem re. not receiving a refund through eBay's MBG

Scammer,   maybe.

Drop shipper,  definitely and doing it on the cheap.

Drop shippers are at the mercy of their  supplier/shipper  and are responsible no matter what,  a shipping error could be completely down to the third party, or could be due to the seller, deliberately or otherwise, forwarding incorrect order information.

Re ebays third party policy, there is a loop hole that allows drop shippers to operate on the cheap.

"Scammer,   maybe"

A scammer's been in control of the account since the feedback "nice item" was left.

The account needs too be closed and restored to it's rightful owner

"to : total proof seller is a scammer = that's fine "

Not only fine, let's broadcast it to the buyers.

ebay message received with refund

"We discovered some unusual activity and removed this item from our site"

"EBay refunded after unusual activity"

eBay must think "unusual activity"  sounds better than hijacked.

And  yet  another account remains in the hands of a scammer.

Again, the account needs to be closed and  restored to it's rightful owner
