If you paid as a guest through paypal you do not get a notification and it is not linked to ebay so is not automatically marked as paid. Have you got a receipt from paypal for the payment?

If a buyer has gone through the eBay checkout system and paid as a guest it is automatically marked as paid on eBay.

The only time it won't be marked as paid is if there is a glitch in the system which happens very rarely.
