In the space of 1 week I've seen this taking place - what does eBay think of it....they would know surely, proof of it or not, both items have the same bidders doing a tango worth remembering, kick start the bidding war with high ranking friend's then let the buyer replace bids until the items value is unrealistic with a ring in bidder. This pattern I'll remember.
Not standard practice I'm sure, has it happened to you?

Doesn't look like shill bidding to me but I am no expert. If you think that is what is happening then report it.
It says in this book I am reading that by 2065 80% of women will be overweight.
See what a trendsetter I am?

Often it can appear as shill bidding but isn't.
If you suspect it is, use the report link on the listing to the right and ebay will look at it.
I usually only suspect shilling if 3 things occur on an account.
1. High percentage of bids with a seller.
2. Bids are on totally different types of items from same seller.
3. High number of bid retractions.
Even then it may simply be coincidental.

I can't see any sign of shill bidding on either of those items but I am interested to know what you mean by the bidders not finishing the transaction. Can you please explain?

To put it another way, no one else is bidding on the item. After say a good price (for a bidding bargain) has been reached and any further will break the bank, most pack up, in jumps another punter just smacks of foul.
The whole thing of transaction or win the bid if you will just WONT move ahead any more than the mix of bidders per item uncommitted to winning the item. The last bidder is boosting the price up on both items, there are no other bidders in the shop.
How do you explain the comparison of bidders. Why????
I just think if the place is for auction then it should play out, but this looks bad. Thought I'd mention it.
Its sure stagnent now. Laughable, so see through....

She is an expert in translating garbage stuff into English. And your post is definitely stuff.

Well stuff or not, syndicates are 'stuff' that brings bad karma. So no more 'dwivel' might be productive.
Agree with kopes, lyndall & junkie,no obvious signs of shill bidding.
Strongly agree with dave(and he knows how long winded I am). Your last two posts make no sense at all.
Is the issue here that you want to buy the item(s) in question?
If so it is YOU that sets the price that YOU pay-the seller & other bidders don't matter.
Place one bid as late as possible for the MAXIMUM that YOU are prepared to pay & if you are outbid walk away.
Works for me!!!

I'm not here to drum up a squad of supporters from YOU as that wouldn't solve any plot and bagging me won't solve an identified problem (should you lead to defending a criminal act - dangerous, foolish and selfish) So why don't YOU (or any of you) put a sock in it. Ripping people off on a large scale CANNOT be defended no matter what STUFF pours out of YOUR 'social media'. Put a proper reply and make sense yourself, how inconsiderate.
The point OBVIOUSLY is the players who are legitimately bidding only went to a certain point before it became obscene, take those people's names out of the list of bidders and you have on both items single bids going nowhere!. Driving lines of bids to the top that never stop.Who else is bidding!? (Underlined) It will hot up when you're on but its mighty cold when your not.
WHAT !
Are you blind.
Positively added to my post today is, it is not the only shop that's it happens in. Why would I bring a little bag of bird seed when YOU can have an entire paddock of horse **bleep**! If that's the way they play it, then its time to snap them off.
The fun of it is gone if that is all its going to be "as late as possible" - rename eBay to "Bid, but as late as possible"! Or " Everyone Bid At Ye-ende" .EBAYE, the place time forgot........
HaHa!
(Maybe they're warming the place up ....with a little help from some un-named dwivel) but that's OK, you stay as a life time member, I'm getting wise to that. I'm done here.
No transactions involved.

I don't see shill bidding either.
But my translation is 2 identical items - 2 bidders
They both want one of them, so have bid to their maximum
and each have then decided to let the other have one of them.
Perfectly civil. Have done it myself.
If that makes sense 🙂
