well now we know why the seller had no tracking number Smiley Happy

you're right, find out if it works and then decide about feedback.

if it works I don't think you have grounds for negative or neutral feedback

and you can't ding him for postage stars because it was free postage

but my goodness, I would ding him for communication - one star

so you wouldnt leave neutral? - i feel that i should leave neutral for the **bleep**py postage (i know it was free) but it was terrible i can't believe the item wasn't damaged

I usually save negative and neutral if the item itself is not as described and the seller won't refund.  Or worse scenarios.

In this case, the item is okay - but the seller's attitude is not. > a clip on the ear, not need for execution.

thank you 🙂

it's always good to get other opinions - off to leave 'unhappy' positive feedback LOL

"wrist heart rate monitor arrived in an envelope - nearly giving me a heart attack" (?!)

Seriously some of these sellers who take shortcuts for the sake of saving time and a few pennies - deserve

more than a gentle slap on the wrist - pathetic.

The seller has one neutral for slow delivery. He/she doesn't have a very good attitude towards buyers.

yes that's what i thought too

i hate leaving bad feedback so am happy with the result - hopefully they'll learn to send it more securely and better communication (although i doubt they care)

thanks all

It's a bit of a pity that you've already left positive feedback as I'd have been inclined on principle to demand a refund of the difference between the amount you paid for postage and the 70c it actually cost him to send your item, otherwise there's no real incentive for him not to continue doing the same thing and ripping off his buyers in the future.

See if it had been me I would have made some kind of reference to the type of item it was so people know this seller ships mechanical/potentially breakable items in paper envelopes. Then they are in a better position to decide if they as a buyer will take that risk? I have had my share of bulky/hard/breakable items arrive in envelopes and surprise surprise 'free postage' has been used.
