I have only been just a buyer. My personal view is that feedback should be left once the purchase is paid for and recieved by the buyer, so that if any issues arise (lost in post, damaged, etc) both parties have a chance to resolve them decently, honestly and respectfully before issuing honest feedback after the transaction. Thanks to AusPost, I personally have had a couple of items arrive a month late and one never turned up. However I was able to contact the sellers and they did a great job either tracking items down, or sending another one out in the case of the item that never arrived. For their efforts, I certainly gave them positive feedback, as they were willing to go the extra mile. I think that forcing buyers or sellers to supply feedback after payment is wrong because you are really only halfway through the transaction, and the party that leaves it may find it regrettable. It's a two way street, people...
