Wait until you're not so angry before making any decisions, would be my advice.

 

I'm not going to say either way whether neg FB is warranted here, that's not my choice, but I do know the most regrettable decisions tend to be made under the influence of emotion. (After alcohol, anyway Smiley LOL ).

 

If the seller did use registered / insured, that would have added $8+ on to the stamp price, plus whatever was paid for the packaging. Registered you'd have to sign for, but there's no indication on a package if extra cover has been purchased.

 

As to the packaging, it's disappointing - I know - when someone doesn't take the care that would generally be expected when sending a fragile item, I feel it shows a disregard for the item and buyer, but at the same time I'm not so sure I'd personally let thoughts of "what could have happened" to an item have much of an influence on my decision; but that's just me.
