No Tracking Number on Order

What do you do if your seller does not give you a tracking number?

You wait a few days beyond the expected delivery date then lodge an INR. I don't know what you bought but your seller may have sent your item via large letter which isn't provided with a tracking number.

If I buy an item that is supposed to have tracking, and the seller does not put it up on my order details, I wait a few days and then if it hasn't arrived I ask for it (shouldn't have to but).  Not all items are sent with tracking depends whether it is an envelope (which can still be registered I believe but you would normally have paid extra for that).  If it is a parcel then tracking is usually automatic.

All items apart from large letters have automatic tracking these days.

The OP is in PNG and I think he has bought an item from Germany - so none of the above answers apply

sellers don't have to give you a tracking number even if it has been sent with tracking and some sellers are just too darn busy to upload each tracking number unless there is a problem. Just send a nice message asking if you could please have the tracking number.

If he bought it from eBay.de than he'll probably be lucky if he receives anything at all.

thanks for your help. I think the item was sent via post as a large package
