Also I cancelled the payment because I didn't see the point any longer of waiting for a clearance. It had been drawn from my bank account days ago and that was that.

I doubt that you will be able to use your new card until it has been verified and that takes several days.

Of course she did. People used polysyllabic words.

Yes I did do a cancellation on the echeque then not long after got the unpaid item case from seller. Have just received further email from seller to tell me that she is happy to sell me the item as long as it is before expiry of unpaid item case.Whew! New payment for another item is not pending and gone through echeque payment. By the way when I add my Visa card for payment method, can I utilise it immediately?

This doesn't make sense -  a buyer cannot cancel an echeque payment (unless it is showing as unclaimed which yours wasn't)

Your payment was showing as pending which means the funds were in the process of being transferred.

I will be scraping in to buy this item as I should get Visa card on Monday then have to activate it through Paypal(which can take up to 8 hours) from my experience anyway. And I have only till midnight Tuesday to do the purchase! Fingers crossed!Yikes!I just don't want to face the prospect of letting this item slide through my fingers that's all.

Michelle, I have seen you don't take much notice of advice given to you by very experienced and knowledgeable members, so doubt you'll take any notice of me either - but after the last debacle, why don't you just wait until you have your house in order BEFORE proceeding with another, quite possibly - very messy purchase ?

My money is on the Visa getting lost in the mail.........................
